I graduated from Augsburg University with a degree in theatre. Surprisingly, that training became very useful as a teacher. It has helped me be flexible, engaging and able to improvise, based on the students needs and learning styles.

I taught Sunday school and vacation bible school as a young adult for many years. In 2007 I started working as a substitute teacher and many times would fill in for teachers on a long term absence. Most of my experience was with our school district’s adult education system. I taught ELL, GED prep, and also adults with disabilities.

I love to learn. Reading nonfiction books to educate myself on a variety of subjects is a passion.

I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
